Sierra Nevada “Ciudad Perdida – Lost City”

Colombia’s Lost City may not be as big as Peru’s Machu Picchu or Mexico’s Teotihuacan, but it’s no less spectacular or impressive. Buried deep in the jungle three days walk from ‘civilisation’.

With the city hidden deep in the jungle of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, and after climbing literally 1000 stone steps (or more), you emerge at the main terrace completely surrounded by jungle and in the distance, a beautiful waterfall. I was amazed by the beauty of the jungle, the location of the ancient city and the history of the Tairona people who lived there until they were driven away by the Spanish.

Statues near The village of San Agustin - Colombia

A few kilometres out of San Agustín is the archaeological Park with a museum containing ceramics, artefacts and information about the local culture. The park also features some 130 well-preserved statues ‘in situ’ or brought here from other nearby locations. The statues are figures of sacred animals, men, women and masked monsters. Some are fairly basic while others are complex, life-sized anthropomorphic creatures, similar to those found in other ancient civilisations of Latin America.

The north western part of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta was inhabited by groups of goldsmiths, artisans and builders during the Nahuange and Tairona periods. Nahuange goldwork was named after the bay of the same name, where a tomb was excavated in 1922. Typically it features hammered nose rings and breastplates in copper and gold alloys.

Museo de Oro, Bogota, Colombia –

Here is a picture of just one of the thousands of pre-Colombian gold pieces that can be found in Bogota's world famous gold museum. Even though no pictures can do this collection, it shows the expert ability of the gold artisans in Colombia centuries before European invasion.

And what is the picture? A giant, golden seashell. Just imagine the time and effort required to produce something this stunning.

Ancient Aliens -  Vol 1 – The Evidence - 2/9 -  ( 10 mins)

In the '50s, North American scholars became aware of a series of 1.000 years old Inca aircraft-like gold artifacts, sent by Colombian government to further analysis in the USA. The conclusion of mainstream archeologists was that the artifacts were nothing but "stylized ceremonial birds". In the '70s, maybe compelled by Erich Von Dänniken's theory of the "Ancient Astronauts", the biologist-zoologist Ivan T. Sanderson did new analysis in such objects and concluded that they were models of a high-speed aircraft with, at least, a thousand years old. He was supported by Dr. Arthur Poyslee, of the Aeronautical Institute of New York, that stated the objects represented no winged animal. Anyway, they didn't get the due attention and the subject fell into oblivion until the late '90s, when two German aeronautical engineers, Algund Eenboom and Peter Belting, dug the Inca artifacts back into scene, built a propeller-powered scaled replica of one of the artifacts and performed a flight test in 1997, during the Ancient Astronaut Society World Conference in Orlando, Florida. They didn't any modification in their replica, keeping the exact aerodynamic characteristics of the Inca objects, that were proven actual replicas of 100% functional aircrafts, after the stunning well successful test

The Genetic Disc

An extraordinary and awesome Disc in black stone that on its two facades encloses the “Secrets of the Life”. An astonishing knowledge that brings havoc in the researchers and scholars comunity. This "Genetic Disc" that measure 22 centimeters in diameter and of 2 Kg in weight, was found in Colombia by Jaime Gutierrez-Lega. It is now exposed to the Museum of Natural Sciences of Vienna, Austria and analyzed by Dr. Vera M.F. Hammer

We call it the ‘genetic disk,’ because on this stone disk you have the egg with spermia inside, and the egg without spermia inside, from human, which looks exactly like a photo made by Swedish photographer, I think 25 years ago. He could make a photo inside a lady with a microscope camera, and this photo looks exactly like one of the encarvings on this genetical disk. His most important piece is the so-called Genetic Disc. Here you can see a disc made out of lydite, a very hard stone. It's nearly the same hardness as granite, but the structure of lydite is like leaves, so it would be quite impossible to make the same disc in our days out of the same material.

The diameter of this disc - we call it the Genetic Disc – is about 27 centimeters. On this disc you have several things presented which usually you can only see with a microscope.

The material of the disc seems to be lydite a very hard black stone. Regarding the stone dating, even if being it has not been possible to assign it a precise historical period, it seems manifactured approximately 6000 years ago.... However it was dated in prehistoric epoch and assigned to the MUISCA Culture.

The particularitity of the disc consists in the carvings that are anticipate on its two facades that seem to contain genetic or biological informations. These carvings would represent the evolutionary process that carries from the frog to the man. Other details that can be noticed is the visible presence of genital organs, spermatozoa, ova, (female egg) and even the fertilization of the ovum that is transformed in embryo until to arrive to the formation of the fetus. The other side shows scenes that can be interpreted as the Cell Division (!) in different stages of a frog/snake or an unknown being!
