THE FIGHT FLIGHT RESPONSE IS LOCATED IN THE SUBCONSCIOUS!

What is the "fight or flight response?"

…and survived as a species because of it this “Fight or Flight” response.

The fight-or-flight response (also called the fight-or-flight-or-freeze response, hyperarousal, or the acute stress response) was first described by Walter Bradford Cannon.[1][2][3]

His theory states that animals react to threats with a general discharge of the sympathetic nervous system, priming the animal for fighting or fleeing. This response was later recognized as the first stage of a general adaptation syndrome that regulates stress responses among vertebrates and other organisms.

A typical example of the stress response is a grazing zebra. If the zebra sees a lion closing in for the kill, the stress response is activated. The escape requires intense muscular effort, supported by all of the body’s systems. The sympathetic nervous system’s activation provides for these needs.

The fight or flight actions also have polarity – the individual can either fight or flee against something that is threatening, such as a hungry lion, or fight for or fly towards something that is needed, such as the safety of the shore from a raging river.

What Is Fear?

Feel free to check the dictionary definition but here is one:

Fear is the innate FIGHT OR FLIGHT RESPONSE to a person, place, position or possible outcome which makes one FEEL UNCERTAIN about their ABILITY TO SURVIVE unscathed or at all.

When the body's functioning properly, it resets after a stress response.

A failure to reset properly can result in illness.

Fear: How our Fight or Flight Response becomes our Stress Response

 ( 6 mins)

We may think that our thoughts are free agents, but they're actually a product of a biochemical response. Learning how to influence this biochemical composition can change your life. Andrew MacWha discusses how the emotion of fear affects our biochemical composition to produce stress.

Fight and Flight Mechanisims ( 9 mins)

This is an animation made for my junior-year IB HL Biology class. It outlines the effects of epinephrine (adrenaline) on the human body. Some slides may seem slow, but it was designed with note-taking in mind.

Fight or Flight Response ( 6 mins)

Paul Andersen explains how epinephrine is responsible for changes in chemistry of our body associated with the fight or flight response. Epinephrine released by the adrenal medulla is received by a number of organs associated with the sympathetic nervous system.

Understanding the "Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis"

Hormone secretion within the human body is regulated by a complex network of nerves, chemical messengers, and glands that influence each other through regulatory pathways known as axes.

The hypothalamus and pituitary gland, both located within the brain, are pivotal aspects of many of these axes—the release of hormones by the various endocrine glands is largely dependent on the messages from these organs and the feedback they receive from the body. The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is one of these discrete systems, involving the regulation and secretion of cortisol, a steroid hormone that affects stress response….

META-Kinetics®

A quantum leap for META-Medicine®
Developed by Alan Sales, Tremayne Reiss and Robert Waghmare

META-Kinetics is a powerful synthesis of META-Medicine (a scientific framework and methodology for understanding the root cause of dis-ease) with Cyberkinetics, an award winning Kinesiology methodology developed by Alan Sales.

META-Kinetics allows faster and more precise retrieval of information from a client’s unconscious than one could obtain linguistically or through other methods of META-Medicine diagnosis.

META-Kinetics releases the practitioner from potential ambiguity and helps clarify what's important when working with complex health issues. META-Kinetics takes META-Medicine® into a new age where non-linear diagnostics will become the norm.
